Freeze for Food is an annual 5K and 10K walk and run held at Vilas Park along Lake Wingra in Madison, Wisconsin. The event takes place on Saturday, March 7, 2026, with the 5K beginning at 12:00 PM and the 10K at 1:00 PM. All proceeds from the race go to Open Doors for Refugees, a local organization supporting refugees in the Madison community. Participants can run or walk the course, and the event includes a food drive for non-perishable pantry items and bags.
